Election Posters
Poster design plays a pivotal role in any election campaign, as it is the primary medium for advertising candidates in Ireland. Given its importance, getting the design right is absolutely essential.
Creating impactful election posters requires numerous iterations, brainstorming sessions, and close collaboration to ensure they effectively convey the Party's branding while capturing voters' attention. Each design must balance bold visuals, clear messaging, and strong branding to stand out in the crowd.
Below are samples from various election campaigns where I contributed to the poster design process.

Newsletters
Designing bespoke newsletters is one of the most rewarding aspects of campaign material creation. Candidates provide their information, and the process becomes an engaging puzzle—carefully arranging content to achieve the most effective and visually appealing layout.
These newsletters must resonate with the general population, making it essential to use bright, attention-grabbing colours and thoughtful typography. Striking the right balance between clarity and creativity ensures the message is communicated effectively while maintaining a polished and professional look.
Every design choice, from font selection to layout structure, is carefully crafted to capture attention, convey the candidate’s message, and uphold the party’s professional branding, ensuring each newsletter is both distinctive and impactful.

Canvass Cards
Canvass cards are a versatile and essential tool for candidates during election campaigns, serving multiple purposes. Not only are they distributed through letterboxes, but they also double as business cards and are prominently featured in social media posts, often appearing in photos taken during daily canvassing activities. These cards provide a concise snapshot of the candidate's campaign promises and priorities.
Given their multi-functional nature, it’s crucial to effectively condense a wealth of information into a small space. Optimisation is key to ensuring clarity and impact. The front of the card must prominently display the candidate’s name, face, and party branding to create an immediate connection with voters. Meanwhile, the back needs to communicate the candidate's message and key priorities in a way that is clear, engaging, and easy to digest.
Striking the right balance between visual appeal and informative content ensures that canvass cards remain a powerful and memorable touchpoint for voters.
